CELTIC manager Tony Mowbray insists Scott Brown will remain sidelined until specialists agree the diagnosis on his ongoing ankle complaint. The Scotland midfielder has struggled for fitness since undergoing ankle surgery in the summer and a trip to see a specialist in London in October failed to solve the problem. Brown has been left out completely since the Europa League game against Hamburg in Germany a month ago and will stay out while a fresh search for a cure continues.

Killie took on an unbeaten Celtic side on Saturday at Barrowfield on Saturday.Despite the heavy overnight rain the pitch was in excellent condition and Celtic started the game passing crisply on a very fast surface. Killie were mainly on the defensive in the early stages and gave away a number of free kicks and corners to keep Celtic at bay.It was from one of these corners that Celtic took the lead when a well worked move saw Michael Doyle impeded to allow the Celtic player a shot at goal which was defle

HENRIK LARSSON left former Rangers defender Lorenzo Amoruso dizzy at times, such was the quality of the prolific Swede during his heyday at Celtic Park. But while the Italian remembers all too easily how dangerous Larsson was, he also remembers being quietly impressed as Kris Boyd was emerging from the underbelly at Rugby Park. When Boyd's Ibrox career was little but a lifelong ambition and Amoruso's was drawing to a close, the two locked swords in the SPL. While it may seem like sacrilege to many to

He has to keep improving because at a club like Rangers, it does not matter what you did in the last game, or how many goals you have scored In other games, it is all about what you have got right now.   -Lorenzo Amoruso

CELTIC are off to Tannadice on Sunday and Dundee United will not have been affected by any talk of Craig Levein being linked with the Scotland job whatsoever. United have been a bit of a bogey team for Celtic, and Rangers too for that matter, the past few seasons and it will be a tough game, all the more so because you would really expect Gers to beat Kilmarnock tomorrow meaning that Tony Mowbray's men will go to Tayside under a wee bit of pressure. There has been a bit of heat on the Celtic manager b

Kirk Broadfoot has admitted his injury nightmare had him worried he may never play again at one stage during his eight months out. The Rangers defender has been plagued by a persistent foot injury but he is finally progressing well in his recovery and is expected to feature for the SPL giants before the turn of the year. The 25-year-old Scotland international admitted he has endured a tough time when out and revealed there were times he thought he'd never fully recover.

My life has always revolved around football so it's hard when the match day is not there at the end of the week   -Kirk Broadfoot

Hibernian midfielder John Rankin says he is hopeful that the international break won't have killed the momentum Hibs had. While a weekend without a game has given the likes of Merouane Zemmama, Liam Miller and Kevin McBride a chance to get fit for Saturday's trip to St Mirren, Rankin is fearful it may have killed the head of steam the Edinburgh-based club had. The goalless draw with Hearts before the international break made it seven SPL matches without defeat and Rankin says he hopes Hibs can pick up

I think it came at both the right time and wrong time for us. The right time because it will, we hope, have allowed Zouma, Liam and Kevin the chance to get over the injuries they've been carrying but the wrong time because a break is the last thing we'd have wanted given the run we have been on   -John Rankin

CELTIC could be without five first-team regulars for Sunday's SPL clash with Dundee United with Scott Brown still among the list of absentees. Manager Tony Mowbray has confirmed Brown, Artur Boruc and Shaun Maloney have "no chance" of being fit for the trip to Tannadice. Club captain Stephen McManus is suspended following his red card in last month's Co-operative Insurance Cup quarter-final defeat to Hearts.

There is no chance of them being ready for Tannadice. They are not ready to train this week, so it's not a question of rushing them back.   -Tony Mowbray
